Covington Family - China 2004
Dear A Child Waits Foundation:
We have had
our precious little Abby home with us for almost two months now, and are enjoying
her very much. Having been in foster care in China for a year and a half, she
is on target developmentally, and is learning our language quickly and easily.
She is a delightful little girl! Her disability doesn't hold her back at all.
She hops on her one leg around the house, and for longer "trips" has
a walker to help her out. Everyone is amazed at how well she has compensated.
Abby is friendly and quite self-sufficient. The doctors at Shriner's Hospital
advised against her getting a prosthesis at this time, as it would be cumbersome
for a three-year old.
We want to thank
you again for being a part of our adoption. It is wonderful that God has brought
us together as a family.
