The Svec-Krapitz Family
My husband John and I would like to extend our deepest gratitude to A Child Waits Foundation for your help which enabled us to begin our long awaited family. Thank you so much.
Regardless of the fact that I was ill on our return, the children were not. Thank God for small favors. Now six weeks later the children have done and are doing wonderful. Katie (Katerina) has bloomed into a terrible two, crawling and generally getting into trouble. Her hearing has been checked and to date she is not deaf. Her speech is slow and she is under developed physically. We will pray for a future of good health for her.

Ilya has many more serious issues- four years in the orphanage did real damage. But we are hopeful. He sees the speech therapist once a week and attends pre-school with the three year olds two times a week. We are working closely with the teachers and school administrators. Hopefully, in the future we will be able to get some private counseling and tutoring.
Both children are happy and loving life. They sleep well; eat bananas and yogurt like crazy. We love them dearly and are blessed to have them. I'm certain the feeling is mutual.

Thank you again for helping theses children find a home and for helping us become a family.
