Dear Child Waits Foundation Board and Staff,
I want to thank all of
you again for providing such a wonderful and much needed service to adopting families.
Without your help my goal of adopting a new daughter and sister for my biological
daughter would have been more difficult, if not impossible. You are doing wonderful
work. I have already referred people to you and I will continue to do this.
Adoption is expensive at the time, but over the life span it really isn't that much. Your Foundation helps so much when the fees seem overwhelming all at once. I also want to add that I have found your staff to be kind, sensitive and very professional.
You asked me to write and share my story and send pictures. I am at home now from work for 3 months leave of absence and I do not have access to my computer, hence my handwritten letter. I do hope you can understand my handwriting.
I have enclosed the pictures of my beautiful new daughter Maggie. I can not even begin to tell you of my happiness. Everything has gone so well and exceeded my expectations. It was definitely worth the most arduous paper work process I have ever been through. Maggie is absolutely adorable and a lovely, sweet, pretty, healthy and friendly baby. Everyone has fallen in love with her.
I have a biological daughter, so I am in a position to compare. Adoption is not different in the way you love. I love Maggie as deeply as I love my Bess. There is no difference. I wanted another child even as a single parent, and my dream was able to come true with your help.
We are all doing well. I will send more pictures soon.

I am enclosing more pictures for you. I hope this is what the Foundation wanted. We are all doing very well and my transition back to work has gone very well - better than expected! Maggie turned a year old on 4/26/04 and she is walking. My entire family has fallen in lover with her. I can't thank you all enough for helping me to fulfill this dream.
