Dear A Child Waits Foundation,
I must first apologize for being so delayed in thanking
you for the very generous and kind donation you made toward our adoption expenses
this past August. The grant was such a blessing to us as we were scraping together
every penny to travel to China and bring home our adorable son, William. Thank
you, thank you, thank you!!!

William at 25 months (March 2007)
Our son William was born without his right forearm and hand. He is so active
and capable; sometimes I have to remind myself that his hand is missing. When
we brought him home in mid-September, he was 19 months old. William is now 25
months old and is growing and thriving in many ways. He brings such joy to our
home and family with his funny personality and affectionate ways. We are truly
head over heels in love with our little man.

William on his 2nd birthday with nephew Jonathan
Since returning home with William, we have discovered a couple of other medical
conditions that are requiring some additional care. We are so happy that we
are able to provide that care for him. On New Year's Eve, William suffered a
complex seizure and has required testing and follow-up with a Neurologist. He
had no prior medical history of seizures. At this point, we are required to
watch him carefully if he develops a fever as the possibility of future seizures
does exist.

In April 2007, William is having outpatient surgery, please keep him in your
prayers for this procedure.
I have included some pictures of William and our family for your records. I
know when you see William's chubby cheeks you are going to be overcome with
how absolutely adorable and cute he is.
Thank you again so very much for your generosity and for playing a part in the
miracle of William's adoption.
