Hello! Our family wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for your generosity. You helped our dream of adopting come true. Not only that, your assistance made it possible for our son David to become part of a family. David has some medical issues that put him in the 'Hard to place' category. He is underdeveloped on the right side of his body, missing fingers on his right hand, and the digits on his right hand and foot are webbed. My husband and I often wonder, what would have become of David if we had not found him. Would he have lived out his life in the orphanage because of these differences? Thanks to people like you, fortunately that will never happen!
We were able to pick David up from the orphanage on his birthday, June 30, 2005. It was wonderful. We were home by July 3, 2005. David has adjusted amazingly. You would not believe what a little good food and lots of love can do. He has grown so much! When we first brought him home he was so tiny, he could fit in a size 3-6 months clothing! Now he is wearing a 12 - 18 months! He is walking and doing lots of talking too. We have taught him some sign language, just to help with the frustration of not being able to communicate. He picked it up very quickly.

His medical problems have not slowed him down a bit. His sisters ages 9, 8 and 5 love to play with him and mother him. He really fits right in to our family. All his new aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents just adore him. He loves to be outside and would remain there all day if you let him! I suppose he did not get many opportunities to do so at the orphanage. He also enjoys anything that plays music. It is just amazing how the small, fragile looking baby we brought home has blossomed into the happy, active toddler we have today. This transformation is very apparent in the attached pictures.

Once again, I thank you for helping us bring our son
home and I am sure he would thank you for giving him the gift of a family.
Sincerely,
