Ukraine 2017
It was a long process with a lot of delays and other complications. But everyone is finally home. Chris and the children arrived on Saturday evening. I had to return the previous week due to work obligations.
Both children started school at a local charter school yesterday. We did a half-day until they are able to fully transition. Masha did so well yesterday in 1st grade that the teacher is trying a full-day today. Derek will stay on half-day for a little longer.
As soon as things are a little settled and we have the health insurance coverage added for both then we will start on the cardiologist visits. The doctor we saw in the Ukraine before leaving said that Masha will definitely need surgery, not sure whether it will be scope or open heart as she will need a complete battery of tests.
We thank everyone at A Child Waits Foundation again for making this a reality. We could not have done it without your support.
