Colombia- 2018 CHECK THIS FAMILY NOT SEEING THEM IN DATABASE
Hola from the L family of 6! We are so excited to introduce you Angie. She is the sixth member of our family and we are so in love with her. It is fitting that this will be our first Valentines day, with her. three weeks after our adoption.
Our journey began last January, when Misty was on a work trip in Colombia and had the opportunity to meet Angie for the first time. Misty knew immediately that she was in love! However, she was also aware that this was a family decision. She began to pray that God would provide a family for Angie. Shortly upon returning home, Jack was drawn to Angie's video and committed to praying and advocating to find Angie a family. In April, we were notified that Angie could come on hosting for the summer. We agreed to host her and find her forever family. Within a few days, Jack came and told Misty that he felt we were her family and they should proceed with adopting Angie after hosting. God had spoken to him and asked why he was looking for Angie's father when he was providing one through Jack. All five of us were very excited to begin the journey of adopting Angie!

Angie cam in late July for three weeks for the summer hosting program. It was a perfect match! Angie and Brooks have very similar personalities and eating habits. She quickly admired Jase and enjoyed experiencing new adventures with him. Angie loved to pester Austyn as only a sister can do. We had new experiences together and those three weeks were amazing!

Angie returned to Colombia. We continued to work on our homestudy, dossier, and matching process. Our match with Angie was eventually approved and we hoped that we would have her home by Thanksgiving, the Christmas... We got to go and get her in January. All five us where in Colombia for the first days with Angie as we became a family. It is all in God's timing, sometimes we just have to learn to be patient! This journey has taught us many lessons from patience, to God's timing, to adjusting how we think or what we want. We continue to learn to be flexible and adaptable.

Since we have come home from Colombia, Angie has been enrolled in 6th grade. She is making new friends and learning to understand more English. She continues to fit into our family as if she has always been with us.

The journey has not always been easy. There have been many fears, dreams, disappointments, as well as joyous moments. There have been uncertainties and moments of confirmation this this is the right path for our family. (This is the reality of life no matter the journey.) We are committed to this journey of lie with Angie! She has stolen our hearts! Her smile and laughter are contagious. We are thankful that the Lord lead us to her and for those who have cared for her in the past. She has some very special people in her life who are and always will be a part of our family as they are a part of her and the young lady she is today! We too have several of you to thank for coming along side out family to make this desire to be a family a reality. Thank you! As we continue this journey as a family of 6, we ask that you will join us in praying that Angie will always know she is loved by her family and the Lord.

Much Love from the L Family of 6
